Why Decorate With Flowers?
Why Decorate With Flowers? Well, there are the obvious reasons….Flowers are pretty. Flowers smell good. Flowers are fun. But there is a deeper and more profound reason also…Flowers hold the Power of Now.
In the book, Bringing Nature Home (which just happens to be sitting on my coffee table), Deborah Needleman says it best…
“A room is never at its best without flowers. Flowers show that a home is cared for and truly live in. While Furniture can remain the same for years, flowers speak the the present moment. And yet, they are a talisman, a reminder of the world beyond our doors, of growth and change and the passage of time. They are fleeting pleasures.”
The 31 Days of Decorating With Flowers is my blog series to look and appreciate all the little corners of a home and bring them to life with the power of flowers. We will explore creative arrangements, styling inspiration and flower tips that you can incorporate into all your rooms….from bedroom dresser to the bathroom shelf. It may be as simple as a single stem in your window sill to more elaborate designs on your dining table, let’s explore together.
I hope you will join me and together we will elevate our daily lives with the power of flowers! So may the journey begin!
